North Hall Red Cabbage Salad

- 1/2 head red cabbage
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tblsps. red wine vinegar
- 3 tblsps. sugar
- 4 tsps. salt
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. oinion powder
- Into a large bowl, shred cabbage so it is irregular with some fine and some coarse shreds. Add oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, seasoned salt, pepper and onion powder. Mix well.
- Let stand several hours or over night to allow flavors to mellow, and slowly to achieve its deep red color.
